Two men and a woman arrested in Campeche for robbery

CAMPECHE — Two men and a woman were arrested this afternoon just as they were about to rob a department store located on Patricio Trueba de Regil Avenue in the city of Campeche.

Those arrested were identified by the security guard in charge of the surveillance cameras of another store on the corner of Calle 53 with Calle 10 in the heart of Camepche’s Historic Center, where they had previously stolen sporting goods, but the guard followed them and informed agents of the State Preventive Police who detained them inside the department store located at Patricio Trueba de Regil Avenue.

The detainees had no identification.

The detainees had no identification. The amount of stolen items was higher than $3,000 pesos (USD $176). The robbers were placed under custody of the State Preventive Police and their legal status is yet to be determined.
