Kate del Castillo was interested in associating with Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman in order to offer him the possibility of investing in her new project, the launch of her own tequila brand “Honor del Castillo”, according to a conversation she had with Andrés Granados Flores, the drug trafficker’s lawyer.
As previously mentioned on The Yucatan Times, the exchange of text messages between Del Castillo and Guzmán occurred last April 15, 2015, eight months after Granados Flores start talking with the actress.
Granados Flores has promoted the injunction to prevent “El Chapo” from being extradited to the United States.
“I send you something right now! I wish I asked him to teach!! It would make me very happy! (sic),” Castillo wrote in the message to the lawyer, who also sent her promotional images of tequila.
The Mexican actress even claimed that “it would be wonderful” if the capo could invest his money in her Tequila brand, unaware that their conversations were monitored by the authorities.
