Looking for a place to observe Christmas with a religious service?
Christmas season religious services for Merida’s English-speaking community will be offered at the Iglesia de las Monjas (Church of the Nuns) in downtown Merida.
Father Jose V. Arruda said his church welcomes English speakers to join in the Christmas season observances at Las Monjas, located at the corner of Calle 64 and Calle 63 in Colonia Centro.
Services will be conducted December 24th, 7 pm;
December 31st: New Year’s Eve, 1 pm (with potluck lunch);
and January 3rd: Epiphany, 9:30 am.
Throughout the year, Sunday services are held weekly at 9:30 am.
