The helicopter of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) will be making several flights on a daily basis as part of the security operation of the holiday season.
Land and air operations will focus on the areas of greatest concentration of people, including shopping malls, banks and tourist areas.
The SSP aircraft will be flying on a daily basis until the Christmas season ends in January.
The surveillance operation began with the “Buen Fin” bargain shopping weekend Nov. 13-15 and will continue throughout the month of December and early January.
The media office of the SSP reported that the helicopter surveillance flights are carried out routinely in the morning, noon and late afternoon to address any possible incident during the winter season.
