

If you are looking for some interesting diversion in Merida, you may wish to consider attending the Yucatan State Fair, which starts Friday Nov. 13 and runs through Sunday Dec. 6.
You will be in good company, as more than 2.2 million visitors are expected to sample Yucatecan food, crafts, culture, and entertainment at the fair, which will be held at the fairgrounds in Xmatcuil, about 5 miles south of downtown Merida.
Admission costs $20 pesos, while parking costs $30 pesos per vehicle. The fair grounds will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. The fair will include more than 2,280 events and 1,150 exhibitors with livestock, agricultural products, crafts and other things to show.
Followers of music groups of international stature such as Julion Alvarez, The Giant of America and Arrolladora Banda Limón will enjoy concerts in the new Montejo Entertainment Center at Xmatkuil Yucatan Fair, which has been renovated to offer families the best facilities.

The Union of Associations of Charros of Yucatan and the Equestrian Club del Sureste will make presentations.
On livestock activities of this year, the fair will present cattle exhibitions, different samples of various breeds of cattle, sheep and horses, among others.
