With the participation of 500 exhibitors the “Expo Feria del Comercio 2015” (Expo Trade Fair 2015) will take place from Thursday to Sunday Oct. 15-18.
This year, the event is expected to draw more than 300,000 visitors to the Siglo XXI Convention Center during the weekend.
The main goal of this annual event is to achieve company-consumer proximity, whereby each participating company can put every single one of their products and services at hand for consumers; promoting trade and creating business alliances.
According to the organizers, this edition will be the 17th and will feature improvements and innovations, as well as a large exhibit of products and services available in the state.
Jose Manuel Lopez Campos, president of the Merida Chamber of Commerce, reported that the special guests this year are the chambers of commerce of Veracruz, Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Quintana Roo and Belize.
“Those attending the fair can buy from arts & crafts to automobiles or even a house. Visitors will have access to entrepreneurial pavilions, featuring 50 innovative projects developed in three local university business incubators”, Lopez Campos said.
“There will also be raffles of different products, entertainment for the whole family and more”, he added.
Lopez Campos stressed that the Ministry of Public Security, as in previous years, will have an area with a “recreational trail” for children to learn road rules in a fun way. This activity has had great success judging by the great number of kids that attend it.
The SSP also displays equipment and vehicles, such as patrol cars, motorcycles and even a fire truck, where children will be able to have their picture taken with the uniformed police officers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to buy the most diversified range of items, from crafts, clothing, shoes, appliances, furniture, electronics and building materials to 2016 cars, state of the art technology products, and even real estate properties.
Meanwhile, Ivan Rodriguez Gasque, president of the organizing committee, said that this year, people will be able to learn about many new franchises and more than 50 business projects developed in three university incubators and other institutions with which the Chamber of Commerce has collaboration agreements.
