OXKUTZCAB — In an operation Saturday Sept. 12 in the municipality of Oxkutzcab, Yucatan, the federal Attorney General´s Office (PGR) seized about 15,000 pirated audio and video discs and related items.
PGR investigators confiscated 5,500 pirated DVDs, 2,000 CDs and 7,500 disk covers.
In a statement, the PGR reported that the Social Representative of the Federation, with the support of elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency, conducted the investigation, which led to the seizures from stores and vendors.
The confiscated material was turned over to prosecutors, who are developing a case based on the preliminary investigation.
