Jason Allen Beeching, a fugitive wanted by US authorities for violent sexual offenses, was arrested in Playa del Carmen, where he reportedly lived and worked for five years.
The subject has 5 previous arrests in the state of Quintana Roo and this time he was detained for disorderly conduct.
Beeching, age 35, wanted by the Department of Corrections of the United States since 2007, was arrested by officers of the Playa del Carmen Tourist Police Friday August 1, on the corner of Quinta Avenida and Calle 4, for disturbing public order.
He was taken to the local Office of Public Security and Traffic, and since he had five previous arrests for administrative offenses, the authorities consulted his record on “Plataforma Mexico” (Mexico’s Law Enforcement Authorities Criminal Records Data Base) and found a search warrant issued by the Justice Department ascribed to the US Embassy in Mexico.
Therefore, the suspect was handed over to the authorities of the National Migration Institute (INM) for deportation to the United States, where he is expected by Marshalls of the Washington State Department of Corrections.
Press reports indicate that the detainee would have worked in Playa del Carmen as a tattoo artist and tours salesman using false names and even a false “IFE” ID, to ensure that was Mexican. The man was also related to a local criminal group of drug dealers in Playa del Carmen’s Quinta Avenida.
