Ideas & Technological Applications SA de CV, is a Yucatecan enterprise that developed “Ryde & Go”, an electronic platform (app) for express transportation service. Ryde & Go officially started operations today, August 28, 2015 in the city of Merida, Yucatán. The company invested a large capital for research and development before launching this new and safe mobility alternative for thousands of citizens.
Roberto Lopez Pineda, a student of Communications at the University Anahuac Mayab has been introduced as the company spokesman. “Ryde & Go is an innovative project intended to provide our society with a new way of transportation” he said, “it has been compared to Uber. We understand why, because it has to do with cars and shared economy, but it is not the same system. This application is not a carrier, or taxi and we are nothing like Uber“.
In the past months, the project has been given much media coverage, which has attracted the attention of several sectors of our society that require efficient means of transportation at fair and reasonable prices, vehicles in good conditions, friendly drivers, availability and punctuality.
“Ryde & Go” handles only credit or debit cards (VISA, MASTER CARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS), in order to provide customers with a safe and reliable method of payment.
The company also provides a source of income to certain social groups that have struggled to get a job that meets their financial needs; for example, single mothers, senior citizens, pregnant women, students, etc.
It is an excellent additional income alternative for employed people too, they can formally become “ryders” so their cars can generate income while they stay in their regular jobs, instead of having their cars parked all day.
Besides, there is a working scheme in which “ryders” can have access to legal benefits such as Social Security or Infonavit, and in addition to that, they will also have access to automobile maintenance at low cost.
