Members of the local multi-task law enforcement agency known as “Fuerza Tamaulipas” killed nine presumed criminals near the area of San Apolonia, in the municipality of Río Bravo, located right on the Mexican – American border.
The Tamaulipas Coordination Group (GCT) reported that in the evening of July 25, a convoy of “Fuerza Tamaulipas” was on patrol when they met armed civilians on board different vehicles, who attacked them and tried to escape.
The officers responded and killed nine criminals, eight fell on the scene and one more was found dead inside one of the vehicles.
Nine long weapons, cartridges, bullets, tactical equipment and other things were found in the vehicles. It was all put under the jurisdiction of the federal authorities.
