Two months ago my wife was informed by my Father-in-law to try out this new Seafood Restaurant in Las Americas called Muelle Kay Mariscos (Seafood) +Bar
So, we took a trip to try it, it is located just around the large Round-a-bout in Las Americas, on the right hand side in Plaza Terrinova , the place is very cozy with air conditioning to cool you off, in a very open aired atmosphere, a clean restaurant with extra seating on a 2nd floor.
We were greeted by a very friendly waitress by the name of Jazmin, and the Restaurant Manager, Abraham.
To start us off they offer a small glass of HOT DELICIOUS seafood Broth called (Chilpachole), we loved it so much, they gave us seconds, it taste just like a Manhattan Clam Chowder Broth.
We ordered some ice cold Diet Cokes and let me tell you, in this darn heat in Merida, you need it, and they do offer Ice Cold Beers too.
To start off, we ordered a Two Crispy Fish Tacos, served with raw red cabbage, and fresh guacamole, wow, that was fantastic, and the fish is fresh and crispy, after this we know that the main course was going to be delicious.
We ordered a few dishes, Camarones al Coco (Coconut Shrimp), Camarones al Empanizado (Deep Fried Shrimp) and a Fresh Seafood Paella made with Fresh Clams, Mussels, Shrimp and Calamari , the Paella was very good, and the rice cooked just right, the seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection, not chewy like many seafood restaurants that don’t have a clue on cooking Calamari and Shrimp. This was our 2nd time eating here, and believe me we will be back.
There are many many restaurants now in Las Americas, and this one will be around for a long time.
Chef Oscar does a fine job with his dishes, and the menu has a very nice selection with reasonable prices.
