It was the cruise’s first trip to Yucatan after a five day absence, when it was replaced by The Carnival Magic.

  • Two years ago, in February of 2013, one of the motors of the Carnival Triumph caught fire while it was traveling to Progreso.
  • The rescue after the fire lasted several days and gave rise to horror stories about the ship.
  • Some months later, the cruise had another incident when its moorings dropped while it was receiving maintenance.
