Merida English Library´s “Evening of Merida Magic” starts 2015 on a high note with a wine tasting and a visit to a colonial home built in the early 1900s.
Featured on the cover of “Ambientes” magazine, this home was restored by Arq. Alvaro Ponce, known for his gracious restorations and bathroom gardens (five in this home).
Solar heating systems heat the pool and hot water for the home. These, along with the green roof, reflect the owner’s mission of preserving and improving the environment. Additionally, an extensive Haitian art collection complements the colonial architecture to create an exquisite site for socializing over a lovely glass of wine.
Sommelier Elliot Diaz of Taninos Para Todos will collaborate with Chef Naomi Murphy to create exquisite pairings for this memorable evening.
This event begins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8.
Tickets are now on sale at the Merida English Library (MEL).
Tickets for MEL members: 250 pesos.
Non-members: 300 pesos.
