BACKYARD BIRDING IN MERIDA, YUCATAN AND BEYOND-SOME FAVORITES:  PART 2

Baltimore Oriole with attitude

Cherie Pittillo, “nature inspired”, zoologist, wildlife photographer, and author, explores nature everywhere she goes. She’s identified 53 bird species in her Merida, Yucatan backyard view. Her column, published on the 7th and 21st of each month features anecdotes about birding in Merida, Yucatan and beyond. Contact: all4birdies@gmail.com  All rights reserved, ©Cherie Pittillo

Two years ago I wrote my weekly column for The Yucatan Times. This year I changed to twice a month. For the next two columns, I’ll share a few favorites that illustrate beauty and behavior from a visiting Baltimore Oriole with tons of attitude to two White-fronted Parrots searching for a suitable home.

Enjoy my visions of feathered diversity.

Now venture outdoors to create your own favorite memories, either with your mind’s eye or with a camera.
