Vendors shouldn’t be banned from Chichén Itzá

As a frequent visitor from the USA to Yucatan, I am sad to learn that the vendors are going to be banned (TYT, June 22, 2017).  Many of their wares are an attraction unto themselves and the sale of the items provides vital income to many of the locals.  I can only speculate that many of the locals are almost certainly direct descendants of those that built Chichén Itzá.  Ironic that they are being banned from the very city their ancestors built.
