The Executive Terminal registered 13,000 private flight operations in 2016, and on average 40 daily flights of private planes arrive from different parts of the country, the United States and other parts of the world. In fact, 60 private jets are based in the Mérida terminal.

As it is a restricted place, the general director of ASUR Group, Héctor Navarrete Muñoz, organized a visit so that the press knows the renovated building of the private aviation.

“This new executive terminal was built to give better service to passengers and crew of private aviation,” said Navarrete Muñoz. “More private planes arrive every day as a result of the economic, industrial and tourist growth of Yucatan.”

The new Executive Terminal of the airport emphasizes modern and comfortable services. All authorities, such as Migration, Customs, Federal Police and biological regulation are in the same building, which has its own parking lot, a tarmac for aircraft parking and hangars for those who want to protect their planes.

“With this new building, Mérida remains as a city with world-class services”, emphasized the head of ASUR Group.

The old building, known as FBO, grew more than 260% in its construction area because of 250 square meters passed to more than 600. This area did not suspend its services during the construction and now offers them with more integration and comfort.

The ground floor is a spacious and luxurious waiting area it has furniture that offers a great feeling of comfort and rest, has security cameras, automated coffee service, a traveler’s desk and X-ray equipment for checking luggage.

The upper floor has two separate and well-equipped meeting rooms, a crew club for pilots and flight attendants, computers with internet for flight planning, a private room and a dining room. The whole building is air-conditioned.

The services of this Executive Terminal are administrated by a tariff authorized by the SCT and do not increase even with the best facilities.
