The violence unleashed in Quintana Roo is a threat to tourism, which worries and preoccupies the authorities, who focus on working on a model of security for tourist destinations, Enrique de la Madrid Cordero, Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, declared Wednesday March 15 in Merida

Regarding Yucatan state, the secretary did not respond if its closeness to Quintana Roo could affect it, but he did say that the Yucatan entity is emerging as a state with high tourism potential, especially for its security. “The numbers in Yucatan are very good.”
