Governor Rolando Zapata Bello reviewed the technology implemented in greenhouses with the method of hydroponics, with a production capacity of 170 tons per hectare, which means support for the acquisition and marketing of habanero chilis for farmers from nearby regions.

During the visit, it was noted that the Mayan Kisin variety, developed by the Scientific Research Center of Yucatán (CICY, for its acronym in Spanish) and processed from the Science and Technology Park (PCTY, for its acronym in Spanish), has made possible the extraction of natural high purity capsaicin.
