Mayor Mauricio Vila to deliver first annual report today in Merida

In solemn session of council to be held on Tuesday August 30th, eight o’clock in the evening, at Merida’s Plaza Grande, Mayor Mauricio Vila Dosal will deliver his First Annual Government Report, to neighborhood representatives, business chambers leaders, PAN political party members, civil associations executives as well as invited mayors and governors.

The event will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance and continue with a solemn meeting, in which the annual report will be addressed by Mérida’s mayor. Before reading the document, a video on the activities of his first year of government will be presented.

The ceremony is expected to last about one hour and twenty minutes, in an agile and highly visual format. After the popular formal ceremony, there will be a time of music and dance with the performance of “Super Lamas” musical group.

The assistant director of Public Relations of the City of Merida, Genny Palomo Mendez, reported that the presence of the governors of Yucatán, Rolando Zapata Bello, and Puebla, Rafael Moreno Valle, are expected.

Carlos Joaquin Gonzalez, Quintana Roo’s elected governor and Marko Cortés Mendoza, coordinator of the PAN federal deputies are also invited to the ceremony.

On behalf of the business community Juan José Abraham Daguer, president of the National Chamber of Commerce  and Tourism Services of Merida Canaco-Servytur Merida (Cámara Nacional de Comercio y Servicios Turísticos de Mérida); Ricardo Campos Achach, head of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Foods Industry Canirac (Cámara Nacional de la Industria Restaurantes y Alimentos Condimentados), and Gustavo Cisneros Buenfil, leader of the Employers Confederation Coparmex (Confederación Patronal de la República Mexicana), among other executives.

On behalf of the Mérida Archdiocese, Father Jose Candelario Jimenez Jimenez, Vicar General, will attend in representation of the Archbishop Gustavo Rodriguez Vega, who is out of town.
