U.S. Consul General David Micó met with top administrators of the Automomous University of Yucatan (UADY) to learn about the institution´s instruction and research programs and to promote academic exchange with U.S. counterparts.
¨UADY is an important partner,¨ Micó commented after the meeting.
The diplomat, who took office on August 7 replacing Sonia Tsiros, was joined by Tricia Olivares, head of public relations at the American consulate in the meeting with university leaders.
José de Jesús Williams, rector of UADY, informed the consul on issues relating to the infrastructure of the university, especially its campuses, preparatory schools, community interaction unit, research center and Tizimín unit.
