Monarch to arrive to Progreso and Cozumel next June

The Monarch will arrive to Progreso and Cozumel next June, from the ports of Cartagena, Colombia and Panama City, Panama.

This cruise will bring two thousand tourists from the LGBT community, and that is why it is advertised as “DESEOCruise Gay Style 2015“.

The trip starts exactly on Saturday June 6 in Cartagena, Colombia; with a stop in the island of Grand Cayman, Panama City, then Cozumel, and finally ending up at the port of Progreso, Yucatan.

The Monarch has 268 meters long (approximately 820 feet), and capacity for 2,752 passengers.

It features a theater, fitness room, basketball court, cafeteria, jacuzzi, duty free shops, casino, restaurants, atrium, bars, show lounge, spa and beauty salon.

PROGRESO POSITIONS AS A DEPARTURE POINT

The company Pullmantur Cruises notified that Progreso will become a starting point for 10 7-day trips in 2015, positioning this port as an important Departure Point for the firm.

With departures announced by Pullmantur, the possibility of receiving up to 14,000 additional individuals in the summer of the following year increases.

COZUMEL, THE MOST IMPORTANT CRUISE DESTINATION IN MEXICO

Cozumel, the undisputed major cruise destination in the  country, received during the year 2014, 3 ,398, 929 passengers, in a historic record for the island with an increase of 23.33 percent over 2013.

The number of cruisers docking at Cozumel in 2014 was 1,107 thousand, 212 more than the previous year.
