The Secretary of Tourism Promotion of Yucatan, Saul Ancona Salazar, officially announced on Monday February 16th, that travel agencies in Italy began selling air tickets for upcoming direct flights between Merida, Yucatan and Milan, Italy; with an inaugural flight on Monday, April 13th, 2015.
The official said that starting on April this year, Blue Panorama Airlines will operate two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays.
The Secretary also reported that one way tickets will cost approximately € 500 Euro if purchased in advanced with travel agents or wholesalers; and € 700 Euro if purchased direclty from the airline.
Ancona Salazar concluded saying this is historic because it will be of the first commercial flight between Yucatan and Italy in the last 30 years.
