The Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Mexican Agency for International Development (AMEXCID) calls foreigners interested in studying masters, doctoral and postgraduate research programs in Mexico. This opportunity also includes student mobility programs for undergraduate and postgraduate levels participating in the Convocatoria de Becas de Excelencia del Gobierno de México para Extranjeros 2016.
The Convocatoria offers 20 annual scholarships to British citizens within the framework of the bilateral agreement, of multilateral mechanisms and of special agreements between both countries. More than 70 Mexican Higher Education Institutions (HEI) participate in this call and they offer academic programs registered in the Programa Nacional de Posgrados de Calidad del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología. These programs show the progress that the country has achieved in various areas such as sciences and humanities.
Through the provision of Scholarships for Excellence of the Government of Mexico to foreign students, Mexico strengthens its role as an actor with global responsibility and reaffirms its commitment to the promotion, cooperation and formation of high-level human capital. The presence of foreing students, academics and scientists in Mexico contributes to the construction of permanent and long-term bridges for dialogue. These achievements improve the foreign policy agenda through actions of exceptional value for the country and its foreign partners. In addition, the HEI and the Mexican academic community benefit from a greater internationalization.
