“Dog Rapist” in Tizimin Remains at Large

The case of “Max”, the sexually abused puppy, gave rise to a number of comments of outrage on social networks and spread all the way to Hollywood California, where actor and producer Raul Julia Levy (son of famous late actor Raul Julia), along with other celebrities, offered a reward for information leading to the detention of the rapist.
But now that the alarms have stopped ringing, it’s nothing but “yesterday news” and the police investigation is at a standstill.  Max’s “family” say they no longer believe that anything will be done, because the authorities seem to have stopped working on the case.  The police never returned to their house for further questioning (as they said they would), and the family has not heard from them since Sunday 17 August, when the complaint was officially made.
“I filed my complaint to try to bring those responsible to justice;  there’s nothing more I can do, we did what we could,” said the owner of the little dog.
Neighbors of the Miguel Barrera Palmero School, where the dog was found, now insist that they never saw the puppy, although last week they were saying otherwise.
Initially, Police Agents asked around the neighborhood, looking for someone who could provide any information that could help to track the perpetrators, but now the case seems to have been forgotten and buried by the people of Tizimin
Activist Doris Chan Canul said she went to the Police Station to inquire about any progress in the case, but she was told that there was nothing yet, and asked her to leave her phone number so they could call her if anything new turned up; but so far she has heard nothing.
