Urgent urban works in Valladolid

As part of the activities planned to commemorate the 471 anniversary of the founding of the city of Valladolid, the Municipality began a series of works that will solve some of the needs of the population.

Valladolid Mayor, Roger Alcocer Garcia, announced that there will be improvements in water infrastructure. Specifically in three stations: Kanxoc, Xcouoh and Yaxché.

Some of the works that will be executed are:

  • A classroom in escuela telesecundaria “Adolfo Cisneros Cámara” in Dzitnup
  • A chapel in Chanyokdzonot 2
  • The construction and paving of Calle 49-B between Calle 12-A and Calle 12 -B of San Francisco neighbourhood
  • A Community Center on Calle 21 between Calle 16 and 18, Fernando Novelo neighbourhood

On Wednesday May 21st, Alcocer García laid the foundation stone of the new classroom for the telesecundaria in Dzitnup and later on, declared as finished the expansion of potable water station on Calle 22 between 31 and 29, behind Cipreses Neighbourhood.

With this action, more than 16 houses in the area will have access to the potable water system.

Paving Works

The construction and paving on Calle 46 -B of the San Francisco neighbourhood began on Tuesday May 20th.

The work consists of clearing the land, topography, rock cutting machinery, dirt 15 inches thick compacted white material, hydraulic base 12 inches with cement material and asphalt five centimeters thick.

The work is in charge of Jorge Alonso Martín Vales company, with an investment of $ 323,177.43.

The Community Center in Fernando Novelo neighbourhood, was built as a response to a community request (mostly housewives).

With an investment of $331,968.60 pesos, the construction consists of a 130.56 square meters shading, foundation, installation of reinforced concrete columns and concrete floor. It will have lights, fans and will be painted.

In Chanyokdzonot 2, the construction of a chapel began, it will have six meters wide by 10 long with roof cement and metal structure, as well as interior and exterior finishings.

The works will be performed with economic and human resources of the City of Valladolid.
