Temperatures warming up the Yucatan Peninsula

The presence of an anticyclonic system over the Yucatan Peninsula will cause temperatures up to 104ºF (40ºC) during the weekend, according to Conagua (Comisión Nacional del Agua).

Today in Merida, it is expected a maximum temperature of 95ºF (35ºC), and a minimum of 69ºF (21ºC) with winds from the South. The chance of rain is 50%.

Tomorrow, the thermometers will register a maximum temperature of 98ºF (37ºC) and minimum of 71ºF (22ºC) with winds from the Southeast at 12 mph.

According to Conagua, for this Sunday, we will have an intense heat in Mérida, where thermometers will reach a maximum temperature of 100ºF (38ºC) with a minimum of 71ºF (22ºC).

The UV Index for the whole weekend will be of 11 points, which is considered as extreme, and it is recommended to use sunblock, shirt, hat and sun glasses.
