Music and altruism together once again for the benefit of children in extreme poverty around the world, that’s what the  Merida Music Festival 2014 was all about, with the participation of five groups in more than six hours of concerts and fun for the whole family.

The event took place on Saturday March 29th, 2014 at beautiful Dzibikak Hacienda , located on Km 3 Uman – Hunucmá road, 40 minutes from Mérida, Yucatán.

This is the third Festival of this kind conducted in the state and the goal this year was to exceed the attendance of 500 people  and gather more funds to support the children who have less.

The musical lineup consisted of The Lásgori , who recently played as the opening act in a Carla Morrison concert, along with Golden Years , Flus Boox , Eduardo Rodríguez- Santana Tribute Band and The Yucatecan band Copypaste , featuring special guest Maydel.

The “Batucada Do Fogo” and saxophonist David Dzib, also perfromed on stage.

Along with the musical show, food , snacks, drinks and a variety of products were available for the attendants. Activities for children were also part of this Festival.

A percentage of the profit from the event will be donated to “Save The Children”, a foundation that has been working for more than 90 years to improve the lives of thousands of children in over 120 countries.
