Mérida Music Fest – Calling All Music Lovers!

Saturday, March 29 the 3rd Annual Merida Music Fest fires up again.  The beautiful Hacienda Dzibikak is opening their grounds again to host the outdoor live music concert festival so the crowd can dance the day away.

Gates will open at 1pm with live music playing from 2pm – 8pm.

Performing live are the Yucatan’s own:
2pm –  Los Lásgori – original and soulful
3.15pm  – Golden Years – the best of the 1960’s
4.30pm –  Flus Boox – funky fun favorites
5.45pm –  Eduardo Rodriguez – Santana Tribute band
7pm – CopyPaste featuring Maydel García – rocking covers from all over the world

And in between sets, keeping the crowd going all day will be Batucada do Fogo – the young drumming beat group of Umán.  To learn more about the performers go to

Some changes include having the event on a Saturday in the spring when hopefully there will be no rain!  Never fear, there will be lots of tents and sheltered seating with special hacienda comfort for the VIP section. VIP tickets cost $1,000 pesos and include all food and drink, including alcohol – only 150 tickets available.

General Admission will be $225 pesos in advance or $275 at the gate.

All tickets are on sale at the offices of Seguros Merida, Hennessy’s Irish Pub on Paseo Montejo and both locations of La Bierhaus – Centro and Colonia Mexico.

Parking is free and children under 12 enter free.

There will be bus transport from Hennessy’s for $50 pesos roundtrip leaving Hennessy’s every hour starting at 1pm until the end.  There is a special bus from Progreso for $100 pesos departing at noon and returning at the end. Pay when you purchase your tickets in advance.

All of this fun is for a good cause as a portion of sales will benefit Save the Children
