The effects of cold front no.45 were barely felt in the Yucatan Peninsula, this cold front entered Mexican territory on March 25. The effects of this weather phenomenon are drifting away from the region, though; and this will cause the increase of temperatures in the state above 100ºF (38ºC).

According to the National Water Commission (Conagua), today thermometers will register a maximum temperature of 89ºF (32ºC) and a low of 69ºF (21ºC), due to the cold front no. 45, but it should be dissipated overnight. The probability of rain in Mérida is 20%. The UV index will be of 11 points, which is considered extremely high and therefore sunblock, shirt, hat and sunglasses are recommended.

By Thursday March 27, the extreme heat will return to the region, according to Conagua, and temperatures from 95ºF (35ºC) to 104ºF (40ºC)  are expected in the following days due to an anticyclonic circulation.
