Warm to hot temperatures are expected for today in the Yucatan Peninsula, with slight potencial of rain during the afternoon, due to a high pressure system and moisture coming from the Caribbean Sea.

Temperatures for today will range between 32ºC (89ºF) and 35ºC (95ºF).

However, the probability of precipitation will increase for tomorrow with a slight drop in temperatures due the cold front No. 40, with winds reaching a speed of 35 to 45 km/h (21 to 27mph). Higher temperatures will be back on the weekend.

Yesterday, the thermometer recorded a high temperature of 34.6ºC (94ºF) and a low of 19.4ºC (66ºF) in Merida. Maximum winds were from southeast at 20 km/h (12 mph).
