The 2nd annual Artist Studio Tour sponsored by MEL (Merida English Library), will be held on Saturday, February 15th from 10am to 3pm. Step inside the homes and studios of 19 artists and see where creativity lives.

Many of these artists are well represented in galleries and museums across Mexico and the United States, but the MEL Artist Studio Tour is the only time their working spaces will be open to the public. Studio Tours allow you to spend quality time discussing the creative process with the artist and if, the mood strikes; you can also purchase a new piece for your home. You’ll find sculptors, painters, photographers, papermakers and more in this talented group.

Artists include painters Ernesto Novelo, Emilio Torre Gamboa, Jorge Espinosa Torre, Jorge Góngora and Rodolfo Baeza and photographer, Mina Bárcenas. Anyone purchasing a ticket prior to February 15th will be entered in a lottery to win a signed and numbered lithograph from Ernesto Novelo. This is a rare chance to own a fine piece of Novelo’s work.
