BBORGE1-61The state governor Roberto Borge, has agreed that the issue of Dragon Mart should be resolved in court, as requested by the company itself.

The Governor pointed out that since the refusal issued by the municipality of Benito Juarez of the construction permit to the Dragon Mart project, the company as they have stated before,  have the right to present their reasons to defend their position. The issue must be resolved in court.

During an event of the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial del Caribe attended by Roberto Borge, the business sector supported the decision of the municipality of Benito Juarez due to the lack of information and transparency that surrounded the project. They also commented that they will be attentive to the information that might come out, considering that this project lacks sufficient information to allow a realistic assessment of its advantages or disadvantages that would occur at the destination.

Susana Flores, former president of the Cancun Suppliers Association (CPA), said that the private sector is still waiting for clear information about Dragon Mart, She explained that as of today there has been several changes to the projects, and the information provided by the company is changing constantly.

The leader of the Caribbean Business Council, Rafael Lang, said that regardless of who the project concerns, businesses must comply with the regulations as set in the law, and thus rely on the authorities to be vigilant that these guidelines are met.

Finally, the delegate of the Secretaria de Economia, Luis Garcia Silva said that so far there is no official project information nor any kind of paper work related to the project.
