Michigan State University investigates Yucatan water quality.
Researchers from Michigan State University have expressed interest to develop closer ties and cooperation with the Yucatan State Government in issues related to public health and the care of water, which would result in greater benefits for the people of Yucatan.
The head of the Governor Office, Erick Rubio Barthell, met with representatives of the Michigan State University, led by Doctor Reza Nassiri, who expressed a desire to invest in a study of the Yucatan aquifer, which represents a high impact aspect in the area of public health.
“What we want is closer collaboration between politicians and science to improve the health of the people”. Said Doctor Nassiri.
The results of these studies will be useful to develop policies to preserve the aquifers in the state.
