Yucatan Number One in Most Cases of Dengue in Mexico
Yucatán, August 2, 2012. – For the 30th week of the present year, 52 new cases of dengue in Yucatan have been confirmed, as revealed by the National Center of Epidemiological Surveillance and Disease Control (Cenavece) of the Federal Ministry of Health.
Yucatan is at the top of the list in the country with the most confirmed cases of dengue, 1,750, followed by Veracruz with 1,648, and Chiapas of 1,204.
The municipalities of the state where there have been more cases of dengue is Celestun with 107 and Acanceh, Merida’s neighbor municipality, followed with 54 cases.
