At 8:45 a.m. the MS Zuiderman, under the command of Captain Christopher M. Turner docked, with 1,775 passengers and 813 crew members on board, who were welcomed by the Xochipilli Ballet Folklorico.

The cruise, which originates out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, tours the Gulf, passing through the ports of Veracruz, Dos Bocas in Tabasco, and Progreso in Yucatan, to continue its journey to Cartagena, Colombia, en route to cross Panama, up the Mexican Pacific and reach Vancouver, Canada where it begins its regular season.

The MS Zuiderdam has five bars, three pools, three restaurants, theater for entertainment, a cafe, spa and beauty salon, night club-disco, “Hal” club for children, ” The Loft” club for adolescents and an imposing atrium-reception area three stories high, together combined for an experience of luxury and comfort.

The cruise left the port of Dos Bocas in Tabasco and set sail last Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. en route to Cartagena, Colombia.

As to the passengers, they had the opportunity to enjoy trips to such interesting places  as Chichen Itza, Dzibilchaltún, Mérida and Izamal, in addition to debarking to become acquainted with the Port of Progreso.

Because this trip is only for routing (off-season) to join up with its other routes between one zone and another, there are no other  arrival dates scheduled for the future, however tourists remain receptive to visiting our State.
